Kulttuuritalo P\u00e4iv\u00e4koti is in the village centre of Hailuoto, in the middle of the island. The historically significant building was constructed in the 1930’s and previously it has functioned as an infirmary and meeting point for female volunters during the war and as a meeting place and a day nursery, hence the name “P\u00e4iv\u00e4koti”.<\/p>\n
1 week \u2013 1 month (Residency visits begin and end on Fridays).<\/p>\n
The residence rooms Nokturni and Novelli are upstairs. Bathrooms and toilets in the hallway next to the rooms. A well-furnished kitchen, open workspaces, the sauna in a separate building and our Pelago-bikes are at the disposal for the residency guests.<\/p>\n
The residency is open for all artists and creative workers (NB, our premises have no professional workspaces for visual artists). The open workspaces are located downstairs. Top-notch wireless network. The world\u2019s smallest studio for singer-songwriters and individual sound artists upstairs, free use of the studio is included in the residency fee.
